A comment on Wesley James' Seminal work on a flawed text, Erdnase

It should come as no surprise that the Magic Makers DVDs, The Man Who Knows Erdnase, are the final word on the subject. Wesley James comes complete with drunken parrot, Simon! This action packed duo then embarks on the a journey that took the greatest magician of the 20th century (Dai Vernon) a lifetime of study (and still remained incomplete) only 7 DVDs! I do not own the DVDs, I will not own them and I highly recommend you do not as well.

With this lack of ownership I don't feel I am quite entitled to an opinion without first watching this 7 DVD monstrosity. I do believe attempting to watch the 7 DVDs would fill me with rage and anger thus causing me to do something irrational and irresponsible, possibly (god save us) even learn something from the ACTUAL text, The Expert at the Card Table.

For commentary on this DVD set please jump your bums to:

Enjoy!

If is possible add the CresceNet(www.provedorcrescenet.com) in your blogroll, I thank. Good bye friend.

If you don't OWN the DVD's how on earth can you comment?

As someone that has studied Erdnase since 1979, rest assured this DVD set will help more than hinder.

Wesley James may not be perfect but his execution is more or less as Erdnase describes.

I just find it unbelieveable that you slag off a product without buying it and making up your OWN mind.

Baaaaaaaaaaa, Baaaaaaaaaaa

I have since obtained a copy of these DVDs and my comments should be considered nice.
Do you own the set yourself? Have you really been studying since the 70s or did you read it back then and are claiming you have been studying it. Study is a very careful word.
Perhaps you could point me to a demonstration of your abilities using technique for Erdnase?

Mr Anonymous above you really have no idea what you are talking about.

"As someone that has studied Erdnase since 1979, rest assured this DVD set will help more than hinder."

Nearly 30 years studying Erdnase and you think the James DVDs are anything other than TRASH? You assure us they will HELP? Go away. Anybody with half a brain cell knows that these DVDs are HORRENDOUS.

"Wesley James may not be perfect but his execution is more or less as Erdnase describes."

What HAVE you been reading those 30 years? It certainly wasn`t Erdnase. It can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that James DOES NOT follow the text in almost all of his demonstrations.

And the techniques he does manage to do according to the technical instruction in the book, he executes with all the competence of an untrained baboon.
